A testimonial
The lady in tourist information gave me your e-mail address hence this missive. Indulge me with a short story as follows;
One of my passions is walking. Although I have walked throughout Yorkshire over the years by July I was looking for a new area to explore in more detail and friends of mine mentioned one day Judy Woods (Shelf) near where they live. Whilst I always use an OS map, defined walks are invariably enhancing and soon, on line, I came across the Shelf sheet courtesy Calderdale Borough Council (FoCC).
It proved difficult to acquire, but eventually the Tourist Information at the library in the Piece Hall was contacted and a very helpful gentleman said they had one for £1 each. As I wanted to walk in two days time and was not planning to go to Halifax (my home is near Bingley),he kindly sent a copy to my home address and asked to deliver £1 when I was next in Halifax (which I duly did on coming to see the new refurbished Piece Hall).
The 3 walks were so good I came back for more sheets and within 12 months completed 20 sheets and all 60 walks (amongst others in Yorkshire).
