Hedge laying
In 2008 a grant for from Calderdale Rural Development – Small Grants Scheme was received by the group to develop skills on hedge laying amongst volunteers following a Calderdale wide hedgerow survey.
This allowed the group to purchase hedge laying equipment such as billhooks, saws, loppers and mallets, along with health and safety goggles, hard hats, gloves and knee pads. Getting this equipment has meant the group have been able to increase their knowledge and have been able to work on hedgerows at Ogden Water, Cromwell Bottom, Cunnery Wood, Brackenbed, Jerusalem Farm and Hebden Bridge.
Tools for Scarr Wood Local Nature Reserve
In 2009 A grant Woodland Trust, Community Woodland Grant was received by the group to purchase tools. These tools were to help with the management of Scarr Wood Local Nature Reserve; trees were also bought to help diversify the woodland age structure.

In 2012 a grant was given to Pennine Horizons to repair some of the route down Cragg brook (Mytholmroyd) which is to become an e-Trail.

In October 2014 Hebden Bridge Walkers Action was given £100 towards self guided routes between the two towns

Publication stands for Heart of the Pennines project
I help promote walking publications (including Walks around the Villages) a grant was given to the Walkers are Welcome to thhe Heart of the Pennines partnership to purchase two publication stands. One has gone into Hebden Bridge Visitor Centre (see photo below) and the second in under negotiation.
