Welcome to Friends of Calderdale Countryside
Friends of Calderdale countryside (Friends for short) was set up in 2006 by volunteers and staff of Calderdale Countryside Service, helped with funding from BTCV and the Bearder Trust.
The aim of Friends is to work in partnership with Calderdale Countryside Service and other organisations for the protection, enhancement and promotion of Calderdale’s countryside.
Village Walks
The group's main activity over the last few years has been the publication of Walks around the Village leaflets. Each leaflet contains three walks with directions, maps and points of interest.
The leaflets are available from local visitor centres, some local shops and on-line at the Heart of The Pennines website.
For a list of leaflets and more information go to our completed projects page.
We are always on the look out for projects to fund, so if you have an idea, please do get in touch.
