Welcome to Friends of Calderdale Countryside
Friends of Calderdale countryside (Friends for short) was set up in 2006 by volunteers and staff of Calderdale Council's Countryside Service.
The aim of Friends is to work in partnership with Calderdale Council's Countryside Service and other organisations for the protection, enhancement and promotion of Calderdale’s countryside.
The Village Walks
The group's main activity over the last few years has been the publication of Walks around the Village leaflets. Each leaflet contains three walks with directions, maps and points of interest.
The leaflets are available locally and on-line. For details of local outlets that stock them, check out the Heart of The Pennines website.
